With the aim of providing quality girl’s education, in the year 1951 Smt. N. C. Gandhi and Smt. B. V. Gandhi Mahila Arts and Commerce College was established which gave Saurashtra Region its first such kind of Women’s college. In 1951, Arts stream started with B.A. programme and thereafter from 1953 M.A. programme has been introduced.
We are pleased to share that in the academic year 2018-19, in the student interest and according to state government suggestion, our institute attained affiliation from Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University.
Since 5th August, 1954 to till date, every year college celebrates Annual Day to honour achievements of its brilliant students who make bright appearances in various fields for the college.
Finishing School Training Programme - Under the guidance of Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (KCG), Govt. of Gujarat, college has successfully initiated Finishing School Training Programme since 2018. In this programme, students are given 100 hours of training on Life Skills, Employability Skills, Functional and Spoken English. Total 84 students have been benefited from this employment oriented training so far.
